Hubby and I had bred and shown Jack
Russell's for 19 yrs. We have one Jack left (13ys). So I did some research looking on what breed I wanted... my Aunt who's was 93 at the time said why don't you check into an Aussie... your cousins dogs are wonderful.
I found Dawn & Bill Knapp, and was invited to come to their house. I asked a lot of questions...and they answered them all. Must of talked for over an hour or two ...felt real comfortable and got to see all of theirs (mini americans) and their other animals...horses..ect. I am so happy that I found good breeders and that I own one WONDERFUL dog!

We purchased a Miniature American Shepherd from Bill & Dawn Knapp. (KnappTyme) Bill & Dawn breed these puppies to be good quality, which includes temperament as well as show quality. Our dog has a great personality & the best temperament I have had in a dog. By the time he came to us at 8 weeks, he had already been socialized & started on potty training. He adjusted immediately into our home with an additional dog & cat. Our dog has picked up obedience & tricks very quickly. The Knapp’s continue to be helpful in the raising of our puppy even after he has become part of our family. They are great people to work with. I would highly recommend KnappTyme puppies to anyone wanting a Miniature American Shepherd.
